A drone shows a place in a way that ground photos can’t. That’s why aerial shots work so well for coastlines, beaches and watersports.

Drone photography around Newquay and Cornwall

I’m based in Newquay, so the north Cornwall coast is right on my doorstep. Its surf beaches and cliffs make great subjects from the air. For example, one of my videos follows a kite surfer at Watergate Bay, just along the coast from town.

Shot on a DJI Mini 3 Pro

I fly a DJI Mini 3 Pro, which records 4K video and sharp stills. Because it weighs under 250 g, it’s small enough to take almost anywhere. Afterwards, I edit and colour grade the photos in Adobe Lightroom.

Recent Cornwall drone photography

My videos include the Penwith Heritage Coast, Watergate Bay and jet skiing in Newquay. The gallery above also shows cliffs, surf beaches and jet skis on the sea. Each video only loads from YouTube when you press play.
